Frequently Asked Questions
Here is a list of questions that have been (obviously) frequently asked as well as some that were anticipated.
- I've never worked on a wiki before. How does it work?
Basically, you log in using the button at the top of the screen with the password found in the forums and news in the game and then enter the information you have by editing or adding a page where that information belongs. Before you begin though, be sure to check out the WikiBasics page for basic etiquette and formatting commands. The SandBox is also a great place to learn how wiki commands work before using them on an actual page.
- Someone has gone through and wiped/rewritten/vandalized my event/details page/character page! What should I do?
There's very little that can be done, usually. Your original page can sometimes be restored, but this is not always the case, depending on how many times the page has been edited. This is a public wiki, open to editing by anyone with access to the password (basically any player to the game). Generally this is looked down on and can lead to serious results as other players are generally going to look down on such vandalism.
- So and so's post is completely wrong and should be destroyed and rewritten completely.
WOAH! Wait a second! Before you decide to just destroy someone else's post or completely rewrite it, take a second to see if the change is something simple and common sense (spelling error, obvious date mistake, etc.)or if it is more involved. If it's a simple change, go ahead and make it. Otherwise, make a post in the Disputed Strategies section. Give the original author some time to reply, and possibly fix it themselves and be prepared to provide evidence of why the original post was inaccurate. It is extremely rude, so start a discussion. Things will get fixed as needed.
